#Shexpo2014 and #YuCycle2014

So last week was a busy one for Cycle Alert, what with the first half exhibiting our Sister company Operative Alert at this year’s Safety and Health Expo 2014  and the weekend spent in York at Yucycle’s sportive charity cycle challenge.

Our stand gained some great interest and we were lucky to be exhibiting alongside London Tech Week, giving us an opportunity to visit other tech game-changers in what is an exciting time to be designing and innovating in Britain.

We met some great people and felt really proud to be showcasing the product amongst some of the best in the industry.  Operative Alert received a very warm reception by an industry highly switched on to the problem of work-related risk.  Thank you for everyone who came over and showed their support.

Sunday was a more relaxed affair - a chance to enjoy the sunshine - as participants in YuCycle covered one of three distances (25km, 50km and 100km) in an effort to raise money for students from lower income families to get the most out of their time at York, supporting them financially as they undertake their degrees.

Cycle Alert are really proud to have sponsored this event for what is a great cause that aims to make first class education available for all first class students, regardless of background.

Now it’s back to the office and time to get prepped for next week’s event: Le Grand Départ!  We’re super excited about putting on an exchanging places event at this year’s Festival of Cycling, hosted within the stunning grounds of Harewood House. We’ll be back in Yorkshire next week bringing a message of education for all road users and a strap line, as taken from one of yesterday’s riders: “Where t’Depart will Be Grand”  =)
